Lecture Performance, 2020
The lecture performance deals with the criminalization and prosecution of the clandestine Münster "Radio Fledermaus" from autumn 1979. Along with reflections and voices of the former broadcasting team, Anna Bromley reads in reports in which the Münster police headquarters and the Krefeld telecommunications office meticulously documented their pursuit and surveillance of the illegal transmitter. Her reading is interrupted by the radio activists' memories of the exciting and secret broadcasting activities. The auditory level is broken by visual collages that follow the traces of the black station's DIY technology and look into the archive where confiscated tapes and surveillance reports are kept today.
